Our Christmas Ride this year will be from 10am - 4pm on Sunday 21st December 2008. The cost to those with their own horses is £10 and includes hot soup served at 12noon to 1pm at the Office. You may ride anywhere on the Lanquestrian tracks which include cross country fences of varing heights on 2 1/2 miles of mainly grass tracks, which are mostly on very good going all year round and you may stay as long as you like between 10am and 4pm. Horsebox Parking is on stone standing but is limited so please park carefully where you are directed on the day. Entries in advance ensure we can accomodate you best but we will take entries on the day (upto press - but please check the website before you set off). If you are hacking round to us then entries can be paid for on the gate and we have got places to tether horses whilst you have your soup or if you need to use the wash facilities! We look forward to seeing everyone, but if you can't make the date why not book to use the tracks at another time and remember for just £10 a month you can have silver membership which gives you unlimited free access to the tracks with optional cross country jumps !

One bonus of having your own horse is being able to do what you want when you want to do it. How ever there are times when you are riding somewhere new or even somewhere that you are familiar with and it would be good to be safe in the knowledge that should an emergency occur you have qualified equestrian backup who knows where you are, what time you should be back, who can pick up your horse in the event of lameness or pick up you and/or your horse in the case of illness or an accident. Also it is good to have somewhere safe to unload and load your horse from your trailer or lorry and also it gives you peace of mind that your box is parked on private premises and not left on the roadside somewhere where security is an issue. From a riding point of view it is good to know some local knowledge especially of places of interest that you may pass, for safety when riding on unfamiliar ground and even have a local map and directions if necessary.
We occasionally organise a formal pleasure ride as detailed below, however in addition we do offer a parking facility with the added bonus of being able to use our farm ride with optional jumps and emergency backup should you need it when you are out. The cost of this service is:
