Farm Ride & Cross Country Course
THE CURRENT PHASE OF WORK ON OUR IS FARM RIDE IS FINISHED!!! You can now access all parts of our 2 1/2 mile Farm Ride with Cross Country Jumps.
We are however still working hard at extending the range of cross country obstacles and there will be a number of further obstacles being developed over the next year.
We offer 2 ½ miles of excellent off road riding for horse and rider with optional cross country jumps. Access is via Middleton Road, Overton. If you have a horse or pony and live locally or keep it on livery locally then why ride out just on the roads when you can have access to this brilliant stretch of SAFE OFF ROAD RIDING !!!
And to compliment our facilities Lanquestrian Ltd. is close to Middleton Wood which also hosts 2 miles of bridleways and is only a short stretch of road away. (via country/village lanes)
If you dont keep your horse or pony locally enough to hack over then why not box over, we have parking on hard standing (or a dry field - summer only)
Cross Country Course - We have a partly mobile and partly permanent cross country course, most of which is available all year as part of our farm ride. Fences are from 2' high to 2'9" high and include: Ascending rails, Hayrack, Dog Kennel, Small Tyres, Tractor Tyres, Upright Rails, Open Ditches, Wagon Wheels, Bank, Coffin Jump & Tiger trap. More fences are being added all the time
However we also have a number of cross country competitions throughout the year and will shortly have numerous permanent cross country fences around the farm which are used solely for cross country competitions, unaffiliated 1, 2 and 3 day events and Riding Club/Pony Club Activities & Competitions.
REMEMBER!!! If You Are A Lanquestrian RC Silver Member (£10 per month /£120 per year) Or A Gold Member (£20 per month /£240 per year) You Get Unlimited Access To the Farm Ride and The Cross Country Jumps Which Would Normally Cost You £12 per use!!!
As a Silver or Gold Member not only will you have free access to the farm ride with XC jumps all year but you will also get many other benefits such as discounts on services, competition entry fees and hire of facilities.

(Silver Membership is £120 per year or £10 per month by standing order & Gold Membership is £240 per year or £20 per month by standing order).

One bonus of having your own horse is being able to do what you want when you want to do it. How ever there are times when you are riding somewhere new or even somewhere that you are familiar with and it would be good to be safe in the knowledge that should an emergency occur you have qualified equestrian backup who knows where you are, what time you should be back, who can pick up your horse in the event of lameness or pick up you and/or your horse in the case of illness or an accident. Also it is good to have somewhere safe to unload and load your horse from your trailer or lorry and also it gives you peace of mind that your box is parked on private premises and not left on the roadside somewhere where security is an issue. From a riding point of view it is good to know some local knowledge especially of places of interest that you may pass, for safety when riding on unfamiliar ground and even have a local map and directions if necessary.
We occasionally organise a formal pleasure ride as detailed below, however in addition we do offer a parking facility with the added bonus of being able to use our farm ride with optional jumps and emergency backup should you need it when you are out. The cost of this service is:

Rosette To All Participants
The ride covers Approx. 10 miles with over 2 miles of grass tracks with optional cross country jumps at Lanquestrian Ltd., as well as riding through farmland, woodland, along country lanes, shoreline, tidal roads & bridleways in the Beautiful Overton, Middleton and Sunderland Point Areas.
Parking is at Lanquestrian Ltd. Entries in advance would be appreciated
